Drive-in Church?

This a news story I seen on the tube, I mean plasma, the other night and couldnt believe what I was seeing. This is Daytona Beach Christian Church. The congregation has church service while sitting in their cars and the sermon comes in via the speakers! Honking is allowed for AMENs or a Hallelu when moved to do so. The story showed the clip on the news coverage had the place dang near full. Concession stand is for coffee, donuts and fellowship if you so desire. Bring your pet and dress as you want. Most people were middle aged or elderly. They would interview folks in their cars and one car was full with nothing but elderly people. I just never thought I would ever see this (not that there is anything wrong with that) I just never imagined this would be something I would ever see!

had a telephone network more than 100 years ago.

California scientists dug to a depth of 20 feet, and shortly
after,headlines in the LA Times newspaper read: ' California
archaeologists have found traces of 200 year old copper-wire
system and have concluded that their ancestors already had an advanced
high-tech communications network a hundred years earlier than the
New Yorkers.'



One week later, 'The Redneck Rebel Gazette' in Arkansas,reported the following: After digging as deep as 30 feet in a corn field, Bubba Ray Johnson, a self-taught archaeologist, reported that he
found absolutely nothing. Bubba has therefore concluded that 300
years ago, Arkansas had already gone wireless.

Saturday Morning Comics

Probably the funniest or most humorous sport at the Olympic Games is the Walking Race. I remember watching this when I was a boy. My (twin) brother and I even went out and raced and got other neighborhood boys to join in. It was an experience and it took more discipline than you could imagine; as you cannot run! Your heels have to touch first, which helps, but knowing you physically can go faster (by running) but can't, is frustrating and kinda makes you laugh. The humor also is seeing the athlete wobble like penguins and trying to do it faster than anybody. If you are not aware of this event or have never seen it, it is worth watching.
